The evil dragon Baras has escaped and lies wounded in a hidden cave.
King Ryckair and Queen Mirjel must find the evil one and together, as equals, cast a spell with the magical crown of Carandir to return Baras to eternal sleep before he can rise and spread a reign of terror.
In an eastern desert on the far North Continent, Shara, the princess who seduced Ryckair after convincing him Mirjel was dead, gives birth to the king’s illuminate son, the heir to the throne of Carandir and only one who can claim the magical crown.
