The Tunguska Deception begins in early Imperial Russia, in the wilds of unexplored Siberia and the genius of Nikola Tesla. The 1908 Tunguska Event, as it is known, flattened tens of thousands of acres of arboreal forest. What today is believed to be the result of a celestial body skipping off Earth’s atmosphere was an energy transmission experiment gone awry. The disaster maroons four coherent energy beings with the destruction of their vessel and their hosts. To survive, these beings are forced to take nearby human hosts to survive.
These events are a jumping off point for alternating timelines through early Soviet Russia, The Cold War, The Space Race, and into our current world, where our main characters, Finn Moffett and Echo Onsoillan find themselves the latest unwitting hosts to these coherent energy beings. Faced with the choice of aiding the beings in their efforts to leave our planet, or endure a lifetime sharing their bodies, Finn and Echo must evade both Russian and American efforts to capture and exploit the beings’ knowledge and technology for their own ends.
Murder, political intrigue, and a cross country chase, ultimately brings our couple back to where it all began, with the desperate hope of maintaining their freedom and returning to their lives whole.
