I’m that guy. I run the 20Booksto50k(R) Facebook group and 20Books Conferences and I started this group, too, because I wanted a place where SFF Indies could learn to be more professional (writing a quality book that sells to a lot of readers). Keep the fans happy and you shall have a great career.

I write science fiction, mainly space opera, military sci-fi, and post-apocalyptic. I have had great success in these genres, having sold hundreds of thousands of books over the years. I published my first book on January 16, 2016. I haven’t taken my foot off the gas since. I was a finalist for the 2018 Dragon Award for best military science fiction novel of the year. I’ve hit number one in science fiction categories with forty or fifty of my books, maybe more. What matters most is my core readership continues to grow because I am keeping them entertained. I write what I like to read. It happens to be what a lot of other people like to read. That helps my marketing campaigns by making them easier. What artwork would I click on? I find it and use it.
