Yea, I’ve seen it too, and as a consumer, I love it.
I got into the Elder Scrolls game lore when their fourth game, Skyrim, came out, and I was happy to find out there were transmedia out there beyond the games.
And one form I’ve seen gain steam are Youtubers making ‘lore explanations or exploration’ videos where the narrator explains lore, history, mysteries, and shares speculations. Some even narrate short stories to related art pieces. Very fun to watch, and all the different media point back to each other, so each media piece can be a point of entry for newcomers.
So, yea, it’s pretty exciting. There is always hunger for more, especially when each piece of media takes quite a time to produce.
